Basil Pesto – GF, Vegan (FODMAP DIET FRIENDLY)

A yummy diary free pesto – Use it for Quinoa or pasta. Great as a spread.
Recipe type: Condiments, Raw
Serves: 6

  • 100g Pine nuts – lightly toasted
  • 3 pkts or 75g basil leaves and stems (cut off ends)
  • 4 Tbs Nutritional Yeast
  • 20ml Olive Oil
  • 1.5 tsp Sea Salt
  • 15 Chives
  • Filtered Water

  1. Lightly toast your pine nuts, preferably on the lowest setting on your hob in a cast iron pan.
  2. Place all ingredients in a food processor except the water
  3. Blend, scrape down the sides, and blend some more
  4. Add a little bit of water to give the mixture a ‘pesto’ consistency
  5. Bottle pesto in portions
  6. Freezes really well
